The British singer Adele is in talks about her first feature film debut. The superstar singer will probably make a cameo in the upcoming drama film by Xavier Dolan. Adele is still negotiating for her appearance in the English language film, according to Deadline and Screen Daily reported. The highly anticipated film is titled ‘The Death and Life of John F. Donovan’.
Xavier Dolan also directed the music video ‘Hello’ of the multi-platinum selling star Adele. The French-Canadian director Dolan shot the video for ‘Hello’. ‘Hello’ reached number one at the UK and US charts when released last month.
Adele recently expressed a desire to act in films. So it seems fitting she make her debut in Dolan’s film since the singer-songwriter has worked with Dolan. Adele is currently talking about signing with Dolan for his film. The shooting for ‘The Death and Life of John F. Donovan’ will begin in spring 2016.
While talking with the UK radio station Kiss FM Adele revealed she would like to act. Even Adele believed the confession would bring her flak but she would like to work with Xavier Dolan in his upcoming film. It seems Adele’s rather public request hit the mark. Adele will most probably play a small supporting role in the film.

The upcoming film is about an American movie star, whose correspondence with an 11-year-old actor is exposed. The resulting assumptions begin to destroy the actor’s life and career. The film will star actors Jessica Chastain, Kit Harrington, Susan Sarandon and Kathy Bates. The film may also feature one of Adele’s songs for the soundtrack.
