Amazon's 10 Day Black Friday 2015 Event launches in UK

Amazon launches a 10 Day Black Friday 2015 sale in the UK. The retailer calls it Amazon's Biggest ever Deals Event.

Amazon's Biggest ever Deals Event has kicked off today on The retailer is once again bringing Black Friday to shoppers in Great Britain in a big way. Black Friday sales exploded last year in the UK. Consumers spent an estimated £810 million on Black Friday online alone. On Black Friday 2015 the online sales volume is predicted to pass the £1 billion milestone ($1.5 billion).

Amazon is one of the retailer responsible for exporting the Black Friday phenomenon to the UK. The Amazon UK Black Friday 2015 sale will be another record breaking sales event.

The Amazon's Biggest ever Deals Event will run for 10 days and ends with Black Friday, November 27, midnight. This is a different schedule than on the American Amazon online store. Amazon is offering Black Friday deals since November 1. This Friday, November 20, Amazon will kick off an 8-Day Black Friday sale. the retailer has unveiled the Amazon Black Friday 2015 deals today, including many deals that are no topping the top deals lists for Black Friday 2015.
The deals offered in the Amazon’s Biggest Ever Deals Event can be found on Amazon will offer a total of about 7,000 deals during the Black Friday 2015 sale.

Amazon Black Friday shoppers can take still advantage of a Prime membership deal right now until tonight. The annual Prime membership is on sale for 59 instead of 79 Pounds. This deal is only available for new members. In the US the annual membership fee is $99. The UK Amazon Prime service offers similar benefits including unlimited One-Day Delivery, access to movies and TV shows, plus ad-free music. Prime members are also be able to get 30 minute early access to Lightning Deals. 

Last year, Black Friday overtook Cyber Monday for the first time ever as’s busiest day. More than 5.5 million items were sold on Black Friday 2014 (Friday 28th November), at a rate of 64 items per second. Sales on peaked at 8.29am. The number of orders placed beat the previous all-time sales record set on Cyber Monday 2013, when more than 4.1 million items were ordered.

The retailer will feature more than 7,000 deals on Black Friday 2015, offering millions of pounds worth of savings in the run up to Christmas.’s Black Friday 2015 Deals Week starts at 00:00 on Monday 23rd November and runs until 23:59 on Sunday 29th November.
