The EV will be based on the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept, according to AutoBlog. The concept was first revealed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Dürheimer shared the EV version of the Speed 6 concept has received incredible customer response. The CEO even went on to say it’s time to stop talking about it and build it.
Even more interesting was the revelation about the powertrain of the electric coupe. The CEO claimed they want to work on an EV with an electric powertrain of 400 to 500 horsepower.
It’s possible the car may never reach production level but work is in progress on it. Still the possibility of an electric vehicle coming with 500 hp is a very innovative concept. Research on such a concept may open ways for even other Bentley future vehicle in the electric field.
Other directions discussed by Bentley were the Bentayga platform. The Bentley Bentayga is to have a sharper and edgier take on a crossover in the future. Bentley will also be increasing its sales projections.
