Pebble Brings Text Reply for iOS Feature For AT&T Customers Only

Pebble today announced a new addition to its Voice control feature on the Pebble Time smartwatches.

The new updated feature will permit iPhone users to operate and reply to text messages from their wrist.

The new feature is named as "Text Reply for iOS." The replies will be sent through the user’s voice dictation.

There is also an option of selecting the response from a bunch of already available preset replies.

Pebble Time already has this feature available for Android users, but it is the first time that iPhone users have had the chance.

The option is currently limited to AT&T customers only. Pebble has announced that the new feature will soon be supported by different carriers.

For those who can take the benefit from Pebble’s new text reply for iOS, there are some easy step-by-step instructions mentioned below.

You will have to update your Time iPhone app to version 3.4 or above. Secondly, update your smartwatch’s firmware to version 3.7 or above.

Now go to the iOS app and follow these; navigate to Menu » Settings » Actionable Notifications to set up Text Replies for the first time.

After the above procedure; follow the mentioned setup instructions. When the setup is completed, the notifications will be received from the Messages app.

They will have an option to reply with voice or a list of pre-set responses. The successfully sent voice dictated replies will not appear in the iOS messages app.
