CES 2016: GreenPeak Launches Next Generation Wireless LED Lighting Solution
  • GreenPeak to launch next generation wireless LED Lighting solution at CES 2016!

The wireless LED is a low cost lightning application based on the GP651 communication chip.

The company GreenPeak tech is famous for its low power Smart Home and IoT applications. GreenPeak Technologies will be launching its wireless LED Lighting solution at CES 2016.

The LED solution is a low-cost ambient lighting application. The app is based on the new GreenPeak GP651 communication chip. The chip can support various ZigBee and IEEE 802.15.4 communication protocols.

The wireless lighting solution by Greenpeak can combine LED lights with smart ambient apps. The solution will give residents the creative freedom to create lighting scenes.

The scenes can be created according to the relative mood of the owner. The 1- , 2- or 4-channel LED bulbs are supported by the solution. It will also give the bulb manufacturers freedom to manufacture bulbs with certain abilities.

A bright LED bulb could be dimmed or converted into warm white. The bulb could even create a more vivid colorful scene with the lightning.

The Smart Home system by Greenpeak Tech would control the settings and time schedules. The system can be used through a smart phone or a simple wireless switch.

According to GreenPeak the LED solution will make homes smarter, secure, and comfortable. The LED system will also support the body’s biorhythm. The security aspect of the system will allow owners to switch lights on and off while away from home. It will give the impression of a occupied house.

The wireless LED Lighting solution is built on the GP651 chip. The chip enables the support of multiple protocols. The protocols make the system a future-proof and protocol-agnostic solution. The GP651 silicon also allows LED light bulb manufacturers to produce light bulbs at very low cost.

“The GP651 chip enables the support of multiple protocols making it a future-proof and protocol-agnostic solution,” says Cees Links, founder and CEO of GreenPeak Technologies.

“GreenPeak’s wireless LED Lighting solution will seamlessly fit existing Smart Home systems, originating from different sources. The GP651 silicon, in combination with our partner’s LED driver that controls the power, will allow the LED light bulb manufacturers to produce light bulbs at very low cost, which will move the controlled LED lighting market into a new era of mass adoption.”

The Consumer Electronics Show 2016 is planned by the CTA and will have more than 3600 exhibitors. The CES 2016 will carry on from the 6th until the 9th of January, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
