The Super Bowl 50 Kickoff Time is making the Super Bowl 2016 a daylight event.

The Super Bowl 50 kickoff time is 6:30pm ET on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016. The time is the same as for the past Super Bowl game. As the Big Game takes place in California it is a daytime Super Bowl. The local kickoff time is 3:30pm ET, in the middle of afternoon.

It never rains in California. This is what the Super Bowl organizers are hoping for. The Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara has no roof, unless you have a seat in a suit.

The coverage of Super Bowl 50 is starting much earlier than 6:30pm ET on CBS. In fact there is a whole week of special Super Bowl programming leading up to the kick-off. CBS kicks off Super Bowl coverage on Monday, Feb. 1.
