The country-turned-pop star Taylor Swift has welcomed 2016 with her “Out of the Woods” music video. The music is quite fantastic and fabulous.

This was during Ryan Seacrest’s New Year’s Rocking Eve broadcast. Swift was into keeping them guessing. But now finally she has released an image or two and the wait is over.
The video is filled with a magical mystical landscape of fairies and elves. Among some of the props and getups are scary wolves, vines that appear to be enchanting, a white snowy terrain and water ways everywhere.
At the end of the video, Swift plays the damsel in distress who is saved by herself. This is indeed a strange twist in the whole musical story.
An unforgettable line appears in the end which states “she lost him, but she found herself and somehow that was everything”. This sums up the total net effect of the music video clip.
Some of the past Taylor Swift music video include Shake it Off, Bad Blood and of course that classic vintage postmodern music medley called Blank Space.
But this Christmas with Taylor coming out with her new music video, it is definitely a Swiftmas. In the video Swift dons a blue ensemble that flows down to her feet.
She travels through thick, dark and dangerous forests on a journey that never ends. And she also climbs mountains like the brave girl she is. This tomboy of sorts runs with the lone wolves and stands among the trees as a female Robin Hood.
The music video is indeed an eye-opener. It will surprise her fans by being even more exotic and extreme than Blank Space which is vacuous mush compared with it.
The music video was made in New Zealand which is known for its greenery and scenery. Taylor’s new single which came out early this year was inspired by her brief relationship with Harry Styles. The fling was too good to last.
The lyrics of the song are co-written by Jack Antonoff. Taylor admits that she wrote the song out of sheer anxiety and dread. She was very insecure about her relationship with Harry since there were so many wagging tongues.
