The new car will be shown by General Motors at the press conference set for Tuesday.
Analysts predict General Motors Co. is likely to show a new and slightly smaller 2017 GMC Acadia. The midsize SUV will be unveiled during GMC news conference on Tuesday, January 12th. But GMC posted a teaser of new 2017 Acadia on its Facebook page ahead of its debut at NAIAS 2016.

The news conference will take place at the Detroit auto show or NAIAS 2016. The Acadia features seating for eight passengers and is an old model line. The Acadia from the GMC portfolio has been a strong seller since its introduction in 2006.
An update was badly needed for the Acadia and it seems GMC may just give that at the Detroit Auto show. The updates will be handy since the Acadia is already in competition with the new Honda Pilot, the Ford Explorer and Toyota Highlander.
Even though the new Acadia yet to be released the model line is one of the best sold ever. Last year in the US the sales of the Acadia reached up 14.8 percent.
More than 96,393Acadia vehicles were sold in 2015. GMC has kept its NAIAS 2016 presentation a well-kept secret. Duncan Aldred is the U.S. vice president for the GMC.
According to an interview Aldred gave to The Detroit News, they will not reveal what GMC will be bringing to NAIAS 2016. It is predicted the 2016 Acadia will have a price tag of $31,900. The fuel economy of the 2016 Acadia is rated at 17 miles per gallon.
