Seahawks Keep Super Bowl 50 Dreams Alive in 3rd Coldest NFL Game

The Seahawks won against the Vikings in a historically cold NFL game.

The Seattle Seahawks maintained their chances to be back at the Super Bowl for the third consecutive time in the Wild-card round. Paul Allen's team had to endure record cold temperatures in Minnesota. Temperatures were as low as -6 degrees. 

The game was the third coldest in NFL history. The coldest game was the so called Ice Bowl on December 31, 1967 in Green Bay. The Packers played against the Dallas Cowboys at -13 degrees.

It is down to eight teams that have still a chance at the Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7 in Santa Clara, California. See below the schedule for the Divisional playoffs and the conference championships.

Saturday, January 16, 2016:

Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots - 4:35pm, CBS

Green Bay Packers at Arizona Cardinals - 8:15pm, NBC

Sunday, January 17, 2016:

Seattle Seahawks at Carolina Panthers - 1:05pm, FOX

Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos - 4:40pm, CBS

Conference Championship game schedule:

Sunday, January 24, 2016:

AFC lower seed at AFC higher seed - 3:05pm, CBS

NFC lower seed at NFC higher seed - 6:40pm, FOX

Super Bowl 50 will take place on February 7, 2016, in Santa Clara, at the Levi's Stadium. The stadium is the home of the home of the San Francisco 49ers. Super Bowl 50 will be topping all previous Super Bowl's because of the anniversary. Marketers are flocking to Super Bowl 50 and it will be a huge TV event.

The Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show will be performed by Coldplay. The British band is featuring Beyonce as special guest.

CBS is broadcasting the Super Bowl 50. The Super Bowl 2016 game will be preceded by a weeklong series of public events held throughout the Bay Area. The Super Bowl City fan village, the NFL Experience and the Media Center will be hosted in San Francisco.

The Super Bowl 50 will get a week long treatment on CBS involving specials and Late Night take overs. The Super Bowl 50 Kickoff Time is at 6:30pm ET.
