Google Launcher Gets Auto-rotation Update On Android

Google App for Android has been updated to a new beta version. This new update has got a lot of interesting features. Firstly, the users of Google Now Launcher have received support for auto-rotation according to AndroidPolice. The rotation feature was just available for tablets before this update. Those who wish to reap the benefits of rotation should jump to the beta version soon.

This feature was available for the developer preview of Android Marshmallow. The feature disappeared when the third preview came out. Still, the feature has not been revealed properly yet. All the users who wish to enable auto-rotation should go into the settings of the Google Now Launcher. In the settings option, select the new option that appears at the bottom of the list and you are done.

Another feature which this new beta release is introducing is icon normalization. This new feature resizes all the app icons so that they appear more consistent with one another. This implies that all the icons will be similar in size to one another.

Google has also released some important guidelines for icon sizes. There are some examples where the icon normalization feature won’t suit your needs. This is the reason this feature has been added to the beta release. It is expected that there would be some improvements before the final version is out.
