Harry Potter cast members reveal their awkward stories and regrets regarding the kisses that they shot for the movies.
Harry Potter was very low on the romantic factor. Many fans were shifting for many relationships across the seven book series. The one relationship that seemed destined to happen was Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger’s.

Both the characters were written across the series by J.K. Rowling to seem destined to fall in love with each other. Although J.K. Rowling herself has said that Ron and Hermione’s kiss in the book was a product of convention of readers rather than what made sense.
In truth she might have ended the relationships with Harry and Hermione getting married or the characters marrying others altogether.
Even then, the kiss in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow between Hermione and Ron happened under extreme circumstances where their emotions were truly revealed to them.
The kiss also had to be replicated for the screen as it was one of the most anticipated kisses of the plot. Both Rupert Grint and Emma Watson were not comfortable for the kiss.
At the Harry Potter festival in Orlando where the cast came together once more to celebrate the series, Rupert Grint said in an interview that he knew Emma Watson who played Hermione Granger when she was only nine.
They had worked together for over ten years and during that time they had developed a sibling like relationship. He thought of her as a friend and a sister, so he never really thought of her in a romantic way.
So after ten years, when you are told that you have to kiss such a friend, it got really awkward for him. He said that all he could see was her face coming close and close and then he totally forgot what he had to do.
In the DVD set of the movie and even in the bloopers, we could see both the stars getting distracted and laughing over and over again. Even in the actual scene, the kiss was not at all what they’d expected. Fans did not get a full view of the lip lock and the kiss was over for most fans before they could love it.
For our hero’s best iconic first kiss, everyone anticipated a very steamy nice kiss between Harry and his first crush Cho Chang. Although many of the fans never like Cho and the moment was much more significant as a Harry’s milestone in his romantic life.
Katie Leung has a regret about her haircut in the movie at that time. Katie had bangs in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. She and Daniel shot a kiss in the Room of Requirement under a mistletoe as Harry and Cho.
Katie told People that she wishes that her hair was different. She admitted that she had been excited and nervous when she had gone to the shoot. She said that it was one of those times and everyone was watching, so you were very nervous.
Bonnie Wright commented that she would not tell her younger self anything different to do. Bonnie played Ginny Weasley, Harry’s girlfriend and wife eventually.
She shared the most kisses with Daniel Radcliffe. According to her, she was young and at that time everything was new. So for her, that was the excitement for her role and she would not change a thing.
