It has long been a problem for people who liked to keep abreast of two different Instagram accounts, but now it is easier than ever to maintain them! Instagram has been testing a way to switch accounts without logging out of the system on both Android and iOS apps. It was beta'd last week through Android, but many people thought an official release was a long way off. However, today Instagram announced on their blog that the multiple account switching is officially available today.

According to Android Headlines, it’ll be available in version 7.15 of the app, however those on the beta version of Instagram are on 7.16.0 already, so this might be another server-side switch for this feature to be enabled.
Instagram also said that to add an additional account within the Instagram app, all you have to do is tap on your profile settings and you'll see the option within the settings - and from there it is pretty self-explanatory. You can easily switch accounts just by tapping on the name. If you have more than two accounts, it is the same thing. You will be able to see your profile picture throughout the app, which will help you figure out what account you are on - so you don't make any mistakes.
While the update was mostly intended for people who have personal accounts and work accounts, it will also help people who have fun or vanity accounts.
Another feature that Instagram is hoping to add at some point - though definitely not any time soon - is the ability to upload pictures from a desktop or laptop computer. You can still use your desktop, however, to browse and comment/like individual photos and follow/unfollow users.

The company says that the ability will be rolling out this week. That means that you might not be able to do it yet, but by the end of the week you should be able to switch accounts.
