Besides Ronda Rousey, plus-size model Ashley Graham and California model Hailey Clauson are featured on a cover. Sports Illustrated has revealed Ronda Rousey as the first model in the 2016 SI Swimsuit edition. Her body paint swimsuit photo already raised a lot of attention. Now she the fighter and actress is also on a cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2016 Edition.
SI editor MJ Day, who is in charge of the Swimsuit edition said about Ronda Rousey: "I was honesty really nervous going into it. Her public persona is that she’s a fighter. She’s tough and brutal in the ring. Outwardly there’s an assumption that she’s closed off and hard to reach. The reality is that once you get to know her, she’s fascinating. She’s mesmerizing. And she’s also equally feminine, warm and relatable."
Ronda Rousey appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition last year for the first time. She is not a rookie anymore. Her body painting cover is taking things over the top. It will be hard for Sports Illustrated to beat this year's covers in the 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
Sports Illustrated unveiled the three covers of Ashley Graham, Hailey Clauson and Ronda Rousey Saturday night in a special TV show on TNT.
