Visitors to the beach in Argentina are being criticized for the fact that they are responsible for killing a baby dolphin for a mere selfie’s sake. In order to have the selfie taken, the dolphin was taken out of the water which led to the death of the creature.
Those who frequent the beaches of Argentina have been under attack by the media for their negligent ways. They have taken endangered dolphins out of the water and posed with them for selfies.

This puts the lives of the dolphins at risk. Pics were posted online which show a crowd surrounding a poor baby dolphin in the city of Santa Teresita. Wildlife conservationists and social media watchdogs began condemning this act vociferously.
The Franciscana dolphin is liable to go extinct, according to Argentinian conservation group Vida Silvestre. These curious people are not helping it by having their selfies taken with it as the center of attention. Only 300,000 such dolphins are left in the world.
It would be a pity to see them be wiped from the face of the earth. A wildlife organization reported that two such dolphins were found stranded on the beach and one of them was dead.
A video shows a man with a dolphin walking around the beach. A crowd can also be seen touching and making lots of noise while surrounding the dolphin.
This particular dolphin is the smallest in the world. It is called the Del Plata dolphin. These creatures are extant in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. After the images became common online, a wildlife group issued a warning with some very strict words.
The message was clear that those who found such dolphins stranded on the beach ought to return them to their natural environment. This was so that history wouldn’t get repeated.
The shocking footage of the baby dolphin which was the object of intense attention and childish curiosity shows it lying motionless on the sandy shores of Argentina.
It is a sad testimony to mankind’s interference in the lives of animals whose only fault was that they found themselves trapped in the same web as us.
The baby dolphin which died was left exposed to the sun and it died due to overheating and dehydration. We are here as stewards of the planet and ought not to waste animal life in such a heartless and soulless manner.
