The Xiaomi Mi 5 is the successor of the famous Mi 4 which was launched in 2014. The Mi 5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 which was just launched in January.
Xiaomi’s latest flagship has 5.15-inch 1080p display with 3GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage.
The Smartphone also has a Pro version, which comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of memory option.
As for the camera, there is a 16-megapixel back camera with Sony's IMX298 sensor and optical image stabilization.
For selfies, you have a 4-megapixel selfie snapper on the front. Unlike iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, Xiaomi claimed that its back camera is flush.
The fingerprint sensor is also present just below the display along with USB Type-C port.
As for the battery, Xiaomi Mi 5 comes with an impressive 3000mAh battery that supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging.
The specifications of the Smartphone are great, but the design has what appalled us all.
There is a clear glass panel on the back made from ceramic. The Pro version is similar to the Samsung Note 5 with slopes on sides toward the metal rail and flat display and front panel.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 runs on Xiaomi's skinned MIUI version of Android. The OS is a good competitor against the Google’s stock mobile OS with flat icons and warm colors.
The company's latest iteration MIUI 7, is built on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
It means that you will still be able to get many hidden benefits of the Marshmallow.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be available in black, white, gold and rose colors.
The price is expected to start from, 1999 Yuan (about $310 or £220) when it goes on sale next month.
The Xiaomi Pro version with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage will set you nearly, 2699 Yuan (roughly $410 or £300) back.
