3D Touch is though a feature users can happily live without. Personally, I rarely use it on my iPhone 6S. 3D Touch makes sense as an evolutionary step for touchscreen, but it does not solve any big usability problems on the iPhone.
The important aspect of the iPhone SE is that it offers the same performance as the iPhone 6S with the A9 CPU, M9 Chip, 12MP camera, Touch ID and NFC. The iPhone SE will offer an iPhone 6S experience in a small package with a 4-inch screen.
There are now tons of iPhone SE concept renders floating around that are supposed to predict how the iPhone SE will look like. Macrumors hired designer Tomas Mayono to whip up iPhone SE concept designs capturing the rumored information about the design.
If correct, the iPhone SE would look cleaner than the iPhone 6S, but also feature the nasty protruding camera lens. This alone makes the design of the iPhone SE worse than that of the iconic iPhone 5S.
There are Apple fans out there who long for the small iPhone. The target market is though not considered to as massive as for the iPhone 7.
The iPhone SE is likely priced at the current iPhone 5S price of $450. This is still a high priced smartphone and is not winning the market through a low price.
