Swatch brand Tissot unveiled its first connected smartwatch at the Baselworld 2016.
Swatch announced the Tissot Smart Touch at the Baselworld 2016. The Tissot Smart Touch is a connected watch, but not a full app enabled smartwatch. The Smart Touch has a mechanical part and a LCD display. Both can work in conjunction. The smartphone can control the mechanical hands of the Tissot Smart Touch.

The Tissot Smart Touch builds on the T-Touch Expert Solar. The dial features solar cells that charge the battery of the watch. Via Bluetooth the T-Touch Solar communicates with the owners smartphone.
There are also interesting accessories like a thing tracker and a air quality and weather station. The short film below shows the functionality of the Tissot Smart Touch in detail.
The concept of the Tissot Smart Touch is interesting, but it is also limiting. The idea of accessories like weather station and thing finder are very creative and there is a lot of potential here, but I would prefer a full smartwatch with apps like Apple Watch or Android Wear devices to interact with other IoT devices.
