The legends of rock, the “Rolling Stones” performed in Cuba on Friday. The best part of this concert was that it was a totally free entry concert.
The USA and Cuba changed history this month. Obama visited Cuba this week and it was the first ever visit made by any US President to Cuba in 88 years.

After two days of his departure, the Cubans saw another monumental event taking place in their country. The legends of rock music paid a visit to the country and performed in one of the biggest free concerts in the country.
A 62-year-old watchman Joaquin Ortiz said that he was so happy to be present at this concert. He added that he could die happily now as he had attended the concert of his favorite rock group.
He shared the fact that people had to hide their love of US and UK musicians due to their government’s harsh policies against the pro-western governments. However, times had changed for the better now.
The concert was held in Sports City “Ciuded Deportiva”, where a huge stage was set up for the band to perform. Thousands of people slept outside the venue so they could get into the concert on time. Almost half a million people gathered to see the live performance.
There were signs stating “Republica Stones” and “We Love the Stones”. These were held up by people wearing the iconic shirts of the band showing the trademark lip and tongue. The security setting was pretty impressive which included Special Forces and the Cuban police.
According to NBC, the Rolling Stones performed their famous songs which were cheered by the audience. These included “Angie” and “Sympathy for the Devil”.

The band made sure that the audience got a taste of all the famous songs by their beloved band members. There were hundreds of tourists who had come specially in order to see the concert. The concert surely made waves in Cuba.
