When one thinks about McDonald's, luxury doesn't seem to be the first word one would use. However, that's all about to change at one Missouri location. At a press conference today, the owner of a McDonald's, Chris Habiger, said that he is ushering in the "McDonald's of the Future."

“Today’s customers seek a comfortable and inviting atmosphere,” he said. “So we’re committed to providing a modern look and feel to this restaurant.”

The restaurant will be 6,500 square feet, will have plush armchairs, earth tone designs, and light up tables. It will also have kiosks to allow customers to build their own burgers and sandwiches. You may have seen the images online for the last few weeks. But don't worry about the kiosks taking the place of the workers, as they are actually hiring 85 new team members. The St. Joseph's News Press reported that the store will put the control back in the hands of the customers.

And that isn't even the best part: there is an all-you-can-eat French fry bar.

You will also be able to create your own desserts, shakes, McFlurries, and breakfast patties. There are hopes that the play places will also be upgraded and updated. They even offer tableside service!

“There really are hundreds of different choices to build the burger of your dreams,” he said. “Once you’ve placed your order, you can find your seat because we’ll bring it out to you.”

Other than the fact it will open in July, there is no timeline yet for the Missouri store, nor is there any indication of when McDonald's will roll out more locations. However, Habiger and his wife own six locations, so they might extend that way.
