Legendary female WWE wrestler Chyna has died.

News about the death of former professional wrestling star Chyna has shocked WWE fans. 46-year-old Chyna has been found dead in her apartment in Redondo Beach, CA.

Chnya, Joanie Laurer, was the first female wrestler to enter the Royal Rumble. She changed the role of women in the WWE. According to TMZ, Chyna died of a possible overdose. An official investigation is underway.

A message on Chyna's official Twitter account says: "It is with deep sadness to inform you today that we lost a true icon, a real life superhero. Joanie Laurer, aka Chyna, the 9th wonder of the world has passed away. She will live forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved her."

Chyna appeared on the WWF (World Wide Wrestling Federation) circus in 1997. She won the WWF Intercontinental Championship (the only female performer to do so) twice and the WWF Women's Championship once. The wrestler and actress also appeared in Playboy twice.
