Watch Stephen King’s CELL First Trailer
  • Another Jackson/Cusack/ King collaboration hits the Big Screen with the trailer of Cell

The trailer for the movie Cell shows Jackson and Cusack as apocalyptic survivors who are on a mission while killing off the zombies in their way.

Stephen King is a writer who likes to trigger our horrors and something that he must like almost as much as writing is his stories coming to life on the bug screen. That’s why he collaborated with Adam Alleca to pen the screenplay based on his 2006 best seller, Cell.

The trailer for the movie was recently released and features John Cusack as a struggling graphic artist who tells his son via a video call that he will be coming to meet him soon.

He is at the airport and as soon as he hangs up the phone, he notices that everyone is acting strangely. Everyone who is using their cell phones. The people who are not seem unaffected and that is when panic sets in as they see an in-flight plane swirl in mid-air before crashing into the terminal.

Cusack rushes to an underground train where he instructs everyone not to use their cell phones. We see devastation everywhere and Cusack looking through a blind at people storming the streets and Jackson’s character saying that if they’re going to survive then people are going to have to die.

Teamed up with Jackson and Isabelle Fuhrman, Cusack meets zombie people trying to attack them. Hence begins the wild ravaging and killing of the zombies. A general is seen saying that a war has started.

Fuhrman declares that she wants to wipe them out. Cusack however has a different agenda. He wants to see his son and they accompany him through different locations including a bar where they get surrounded and attacked by zombies.

The trailer features a masked male who sounds like Cusack’s son and Jackson constantly tells him that it is not before Cusack takes it off and the screen cuts to the title.

The movie is directed by Todd Williams, produced by Benaroya Pictures and The Genre Company. It is set to release on Ultra VOD June 10 and then theatrically and on VOD July 8.
