Innovators in Wearable Technologies Can Bag $300,000 in Prizes in New Competition

Today a new competition kicked off for innovators in the field of wearable technologies.

Wearables like fitness trackers and smart watches have entered the mass market. There is though still a lot of room for innovation in this field. For the 8th time German based Wearable Technologies hosts a competition for new innovations in wearable technologies.

Entries are accepted from today until October 17, 2016 in the categories Sports & Fitness, Healthcare & Wellness, Gaming & Lifestyle, Safety & Security. Smart Clothing and Smart Jewelry.

All participants will compete to win one of the categories and become the next  “WT Innovator of the Year.”  The competition offers prizes worth over $300,000 and benefit from direct access to a global network of potential partners and customers.

“Every year is a fantastic journey we are taking together with this exciting ecosystem. We are learning as much as possible and sharing that effort to deliver real user-friendly leading-edge technology to wearables developers. We are already looking forward to seeing many great new products and connecting with developers who are shaping tomorrow’s technologies,“ said Andrea Onetti, VP at STMicroelectronics, the company is one of the sponsors of the competition.
