KFC has taken things too far. What used to be “finger-licking good” has taken on a hyper surreal meaning in the truest sense of the phrase. In Hong Kong, the KFC factory churned out two brands of edible chicken-flavored nail polish.

These are supposedly meant for the fans of the fast food joint around the world. The ad agency Ogilvy & Mather and McCormick added to the input for this cosmetic-cum-food creation.
The two flavors were Original Recipe and Hot & Spicy. A blend of 11 secret herbs and spices goes into the batter for KFC. What went into this flavored nail polish is anyone’s lucky guess.
In order to extract the maximum pleasure from this strange nail polish, you just apply it to your nails and then lick away till it is totally consumed. The campaign is a well-thought-out scheme to increase the Asian sales of KFC, according to Adweek.

Yet it lacks the thing called common sense. Even a music video clip was issued by KFC which showed this flavored nail polish on the fingernails of a model. Maybe this ad strategy will include the USA in the future and come out with a Nashville Hot Chicken Version.
