Billboard Top Money Makers List of 2015 was topped by Taylor Swift for collective album sales, streaming and touring earnings.

Taylor Swift saw a terrific year in 2015 starting off with her 1989 album promotions and release which was accompanied by her scandal with Apple and Spotify on making more money on her music and then her year-long tour for the album which involved so many other stars including Mick Jagger, Mary J. Blige, Selena Gomez, Justin Timberlake, Idina Menzel and so many more.

Taylor performed in sold out concerts across the U.S. and the world while collecting an array of awards and then collecting the Grammy for the Best Album of the Year award and just when you thought she didn’t have enough honours in her pocket, the Billboard Top Money-Makers List of 2015 announced that she was the highest earning musical star of 2015.

The list is made on collective earnings each performer earns through album sales, publishing, streaming and touring and while other departments might have had her beat in some areas, touring alone has made her sum total a staggering $73.5 million with $61.7 million dollars just in touring revenue and $7.2 million in album sales. Her runner-up, Kenny Chesney has a revenue gap of over $30 million from Taylor’s and that is just a glimpse of how much Taylor has earned compared to her competitors in the music industry.

Other people who made it to the Top 10 Billboard list include, Kenny Chesney, Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, One Direction, Grateful Dead, Luke Bryan, U2 with Adele and Maroon 5 finishing off the list. Adele’s earnings for 2015 have only been accounted for in album sales and she started touring earlier in 2016 so none of her touring earnings can be accounted in the race.

Other stars in the Top 50 list also included Madonna, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, Britney Spears, Drake, 5 Seconds of Summer, Sam Smith, Nicki Minaj, and Ariana Grande and many more.
