Disney Movies VR Released on Steam, Where is My Apple VR?

Disney Interactive is offering a free virtual reality app on Steam for the HTC Vive.

The Mickey Mouse company ventures into Virtual Reality. The free Disney Movies VR app is available now in the Steam store. This app is a fully-immersive Disney experience where you can visit themed worlds, including Disney, Marvel, and Lucasfilm.

You can choose from multiple scenes in Disney movies including The Jungle Book, Captain America and Star Wars and be a part of the action. The description says: "The Disney Movies VR is your ticket to full immersion into the many Disney experiences optimized for virtual reality. Brought to you by the imaginative minds at Disney."

The Disney Movies VR requires a PC running Windows 8/10, Core i5 CPU, 8GB RAM and Video Card NVIDIA GTX 970 / AMD R9 290 equivalent or greater. The Disney VR experience works with the HTC Vive.

The Disney VR app is available here.

Each time new virtual reality news pop, I get reminded that my Apple ecosystem does not embrace VR. There are only third party headset for the iPhone. There is no Mac support what soever because of the lacking graphics power of all Apple Mac computers. Virtual Reality is pretty likely to succeed this time around as home entertainment and video gaming experience.

Apple has better something in the works.
