Meet Licki Brush, the craziest cat owner's accessory you will ever see.

"Have you ever wanted to lick your cat?" There are apparently cat owners who answer this question with "yes." Cats groom each other by licking. Jason O'Mara from Portland, Oregon came up with Licki Brush, in case you want to join the licking party.

The gadget allows cat owners lick their cat.

The Licki Brush is a soft silicone brush with a bite handle that you put in your mouth. Now you can lick your cat with this artificial tongue.

O'Mara says: " By using Licki with your cat on a regular basis, you'll develop a more intimate and bonded relationship, much like a mama cat bonds with her young."

I love cats, but seriously, this goes too far. The cats seem to really enjoy getting licked with the Licki Brush, but I will just stick to a hand brush. The Licki Brush is available through a Kickstarter campaign for $19 and over 450 backers have raised already over $11,500. The campaign just started a couple days ago with a goal of $36,500.

The Licki Brush is scheduled to be shipped in January of 2017.

Crowd funding is great for niche products like the Licki Brush. This product is likely never be a mass market cat toy. With crowd funding the production of the Licki Brush is less of a risk and the initial set of customers is already in line.
