Soderbergh seemingly retired in 2013 after a lot of his films including Magic Mike but rumours are that he was thrilled by the movie’s script which made him decide to direct the project.
He also denied at one point that he will not be directing at one point. That might have changed when they changed the title of the movie from Hillbilly Heist to Logan Lucky. Not sure how they are going to pitch that one to the audience.
The story however suggests that the heist in the movie will take place in the time that the Memorial Day weekend’s Coca-Cola 600 race is completed from day to evening. The cars are expensive with a bigger money prize still and we wonder what the heist will be for.
We know one thing that we can look forward to in the movie. The cast. Channing Tatum has already been confirmed to be starring in the movie. Sources also revealed that Mr. Bond himself, Daniel Craig has also signed on to star in the movie, according to EW.

Furthermore the cast includes, Katherine Heigl , Riley Keough, Adam Driver and Seth MacFarlane. Zane Stoddard, NASCAR vice president of entertainment marketing and content development who is joining Soderbergh collaborators Mark Johnson, Gregory Jacobs, and Reid Carolin on producing duties said that it is a big fun filled movie. Soderbergh will definitely put his own spin on the tale coming out of the shadow of Ocean’s 11 that is already an overcast over the movie.
