Star Trek Beyond released a set of movie stills and posters featuring key characters to promote the movie.
Star Trek has made its own mark in the sci-fi movie franchises. Star Wars might have opened to a grandly around the world and sold more tickets than other movies in the year but remember that we were getting our space time with Star Trek when Star Wars was still in the works.

Star Trek, under the direction of J.J. Abrams took off well with 2009's Star Trek taking in $257.7 million at the domestic box office and $385.6 million worldwide, and the 2013 follow-up Star Trek Into Darkness taking in $228.7 million domestically and $467.3 million worldwide.
Now as the third installment of the movie is set to release on July 27th. Director Justin Lin just took the opportunity to release the trailer on a fan event last week and looks like they are just fueling up on the promotional campaign.
That’s why the studio released a new set of promotional photos and official posters for the movie featuring Sophia Boutelli’s alien character, Chris Pine’s James Kirk, Zachary Quinto’s Spock and Simon Pegg’s Scotty.
Simon Pegg who has penned the script for the movie has elaborated that the movie is set during the five year voyage that the USS Enterprise embarked on to find new worlds. They dock with a diplomatic hub after 10 months when they encounter this new enemy that they must face.
The movie is also celebrating 50th Anniversary of the original Star Trek series, which debuted in the fall of 1966. Directed by Justin Lin, the third film in the franchise series is produced by J.J. Abrams, Roberto Orci, Lindsey Weber and Lin; and executive produced by Jeffrey Chernov, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Tommy Harper with Paramount Pictures and Skydance's Star Trek Beyond is a Bad Robot, Sneaky Shark, Perfect Storm Entertainment production.
