The representatives and close ones of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are coming out on behalf of the actors in the riling and bitter row of blackmail, abuse and lies.
It is slowly becoming a mess. The divorce that might have gone over smoothly has turned into an ugly media debacle. It is getting fueled everyday with statements and allegations. Last week, Amber Heard petitioned for divorce from the 52 years old actor. They had been married for 15 months before the petition.
The reality of their marriage started to come forth as Depp’s children and sisters revealed that they hated Heard. According to them, Heard treated him badly. The actor’s mother also didn’t like the actress. Reportedly, Heard got in some fights with Depp’s mother before her recent death. The older woman passed away recently. The tragedy left Depp weak and vulnerable after which Amber started asking for a divorce. He refused to comment on anything related to the separation.
Things took a nastier turn when Amber filed for a restraining order against her husband based on photographic evidence. Allegedly, he hit her with his iPhone and pulled her hair. These allegations did not sit well with people who were close and had been close to Depp.
His daughter responded on Instagram by posting a picture of herself with her father. She said that he was a loving person who had always loved her and her brother. His two ex-wives, Lori Anne Allison and Vanessa Paradis also wrote letters to defend him. Recounting their own times with him, they said that Johnny had never hurt them. Both called him a loving and caring person.
Depp’s comedian Doug Stanhope made some revelations. In a recent letter in which he wrote that he and friend Bingo had been with Johnny the day after his mother’s death. It was the day that Amber said Johnny hurt him. He wrote that Johnny opened up to them and told them that Amber was threatening to leave him.
He had told them that Amber had said that if he didn’t agree to her terms, she will say bad things about him and make him look bad. Stanhope stated that whatever Amber was doing was the practical implication of her threats to Johnny including blackmail.
Heard’s lawyer, Peter Sample retorted to Stanhope. He called Stanhope’s statements, “outrageous” and “absolutely and unequivocally false.” According to Vanity Fair, he said that Stanhope’s letter had no basis in reality and is nothing but the typical celebrity muckraking for profit.
