Dan Stevens star in the new Marvel’s X Men Legion which is picked up by FX to premiere next year.
FX joins the Marvel universe at last. With Noah Hawley’s new project Legion, the network is diving right into the Marvel’s X-Men. Noah Hawley who is better known for his work on Fargo has the show approved by the network. The show is scheduled to premiere in 2017 for an eight episode first season.
Sticking close to the X-Men roots, the show will have Lauren Shuler Donner, Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg as executive producers of the show. FX’s Nick Grad said that they have a lot of expectations from Hawley. Grad said that they believe that Hawley will bring an entirely new aesthetic and sensibility to the enormously popular and richly represented X-Men world.
Legion is the story of David Haller who is a diagnosed schizophrenic. Since his teenage, he has struggled with mental illness. In and out of psychiatric hospitals for years, he finally has a strange encounter with a fellow patient. It leads him to confront the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.
According to Deadline, the first episode for the show is already in editing. According to Grad, it is amazing and features great performances from the cast. Dan Stevens who will be playing Haller will be joined by Rachel Keller and Jean Smart as well as Aubrey Plaza, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton and Bill Irwin.
