Accessory maker PNY made a tiny portable Power Bank for the Apple Watch.

I need to recharge my Apple Watch every day. If I miss it once, I will run out of power during the next day for sure. If I am on the go, my Apple Watch will go black. US based accessory company PNY has just revealed the remedy for running out of Apple Watch battery power when traveling. The company showed off small portable power bank for the Apple Watch.

The small disc-shaped charger is about twice the size of the standard Apple Watch charger. It can be attached to your keys as key fob. Inside is a rechargeable battery with 850mAh. There is no information yet about pricing and availability of the PNY Apple Watch power bank accessory according to Apple Daily (Taiwanese), who spotted the PNY Apple Watch accessory on the Taipei International Computer Show.

The PNY Apple Watch mobile charger is not the first such device. It is though the smallest we have seen so far. Griffin Technology has announced the Travel Power Bank for the Apple Watch that is about double the size of the PNY charger. It offers 1,050mAh and will sell for $69.99.

Apple is expected to unveil watchOS 3.0 at the WWDC 2016 on June 13. If Apple will hint at any upgrades coming in the Apple Watch 2 this fall remains to be seen. With Apple's obsession of making things thin, a longer battery life on the Apple Watch 2 is likely not going to happen. Daily charging will likely stay with Apple Watch owners users for a while. An investment in a portable power bank for the Apple Watch seems inevitable.
