Jeep’s is going to launch a new model as a replacement for both the Patriot and Compass and it will look like a baby Grand Cherokee.

Jeep’s new CUV will be released soon. We have gotten an inside report on its shape by snagging up a few spy shorts of its body. This vehicle is going to replace both Patriot and Compass. The latest images show that Jeep is going for a smaller sized vehicle with this new model. It is styled as a Grand Cherokee but smaller in size.

The outlook of this vehicle looks like a Grand Cherokee, which is cut smaller for a small sized vehicle. This crossover also has grille, headlights, backlights and bumpers shrunken in size but pretty similar to Cherokee. This vehicle presents more smooth aerodynamic lines that can be really great for speed and handling. Jeep is certainly doing a great job in getting a design that is already really popular to fit for a new vehicle. In this case they will avoid many mistakes that can happen in case of a new vehicle design.

The front and leg room looks like that of a jeep in the spy images posted by AutoBlog. The steering and other interior is of standard size. However the touch screen of the controls in front looks bigger than the standard 8 inches screen. This might mean that drivers will get more control on screen and lesser buttons on the steering wheel.

We think that the only transmission choice that is best for this vehicle is nine-speed automatic transmission. It’s going to get a 2.0 liter, Hurricane four liters engine. Other than one can expect to have a 2.4 liters, four cylinder engine which is used in Renegade and Cherokee.

The production of this car will begin at the end of year 2016. It will be available for sale in 2017.
