Google Translate opens the door to information no matter in what language it is on the web. Now the same power of translation comes to Instagram.
A translate button will be available on Instagram. The company announced a new translation feature for feed stories and profile bios written in languages different from your own.

The announcement states: "The Instagram community has grown faster and become more global than we ever imagined. And we’re excited that you’ll soon be able to understand the full story of a moment, no matter what language you speak."
The translation feature will roll out over the next 4 weeks. The Facebook owned company has not revealed how many languages the translate button supports. The default language setting in Instagram supports about 25 languages. We expect the translate button will support these same languages including Chinese, Russian and German.
It is not quite clear yet how the Instagram Translate button will work as the help page talks about automatic translation based on your configured default language.
"Captions and comments on posts in Feed, as well as the bio you include on your profile, are translated automatically based on the language they're written in and the language settings of the person viewing it. If your language is available as a translation, you can tap See Translation below the text to see it."
