McLaren is working on new models including hybrids, track specials and a replacement for the 650S to be introduced by 2022.

McLaren is going to work on a new plan of introducing new and high tech vehicles in the coming six years. The motor company is making efforts in order to build cars including hybrids in the upcoming models too. The company is looking to invest one billion pounds on R&D in order to launch the new models.

This strategy was revealed in the Geneva Motor Show which was held earlier this year. This strategy is called Track22. The name of this strategy is based on the fact that this project will be delivered in the year 2022, according to AutoCar. In this turn out, new models will be introduced and older ones will be updated in this project. So we can see many McLaren cars being updated with new technology under this project too.

The cars will follow the model hierarchy of company that is known as three-pronged model hierarchy. These are given the status of Sports, Super and Ultimate Series. The new F1 resealed will be the Ultimate Series model.
The new models will include the spider versions of 570S and 60S and well.

We know that a new P14 is going to be released next year. However McLaren is planning other sports cars after its release too. According to the Sales executive of McLaren, one can expect two Special-Series cars every two years under this strategy.
McLaren is trying to achieve the milestone of having hybrid models in its fleet. The company is aiming to have at least half of its new models to be hybrids in the new model lineup. The hybrid technology will surely follow the footsteps of P1 hypercar. The famous V8 of the company will also keep on working along with the hybrids in future too.
