Joe Jonas performed the Camp Rock song with Demi Lovato on stage giving the fans a trip down memory lane.
Back in 2008, Disney united the pop rock sensations Jonas Brothers with the future star Demi Lovato to give a dynamic and off the charts musical movie, Camp Rock. Many critics might say that the movie was cheesy and the stars themselves might also regret doing it at later stages.
The music however was great and the fans loved the movie as well as the songs. Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas started dating for a brief time a while after the movie and then broke up. Like some unwritten rule, no one expected to see them together onstage again.
Both the stars broke that stigma. According to US Weekly, Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato are currently on the Future Now tour and they were performing in Washington D.C.
They were both having a great time when Nick asked for his guitar and started to play the tune for “Gotta Find You” song and while the fans expected him to start singing, Joe came out on stage singing the song.
The crowd absolutely went wild with applause and cheers and nostalgia as Demi continued the song with another Camp Rock tune that her character Mitchie Torres’ was famous for, “This Is Me”. It was Camp Rock nostalgia all around as the trio finished the song and Joe and Demi hugged, according to E! News.
Joe shared a picture of the hug on his Instagram and captioned, ‘Sharing the stage with @nickjonas and @ddlovato in DC last night! Surprising Demi with Gotta find you was something I will never forget!
Thanks for having me guys! Amazing show you two put on. Proud to have such talented wonderful people in my life.’ He also said that Demi was like family. They had known her for so long that she wasn’t a stranger anymore.
Earlier on in the show, Demi also sang a duet with Brad Paisley and Joe and Nick sang the DNCE hit single, “Cake by the Ocean”.
