Oculus Rift Ships on Amazon Next Day

Facebook's Oculus definitely solved the supply shortage of the Oculus Rift. Amazon ships the VR goggles right away.

Oculus announced earlier this month that the Rift ships now in 2 to 4 business days. All Rift pre-orders have been fulfilled and the damaging supply shortage is finally over. As proof of this, you can order now the Oculus Rift on Amazon and have it tomorrow with Saturday delivery. Selecting free Amazon Prime shipping will get you the Rift Tuesday.

Things could turn even better for Oculus at the Connect 3 developer conference on October 5. The Oculus developer conference will be the stage for the unveil of the Oculus VR controller Touch and their room scaling feature. The Oculus Touch VR comes with true hand presence, which beats what HTC offers now.

Oculus will release 30 titles supporting Touch this fall. We carried a report earlier this week a report that Facebook planned to sell 400,000 Rift headsets in 2016. There are no official numbers of Oculus Rift sales. The supply constraint and aggressive competition from HTC will likely make this a tough goal.
