Faraday Future hires ex-GM EV1 chief engineer as its new powertrain boss.
The latest hiring reports by the company confirm the partnership with Dragon Racing Formula E Team. They are going to work on the new Faraday Future Road car that is due to launch in the year 2018.

For this purpose they have hired Peter Savagian who is the ex- General Motors EV1 chief engineer Peter Savagian, according to AutoCar. He will be working on the electronic powertrain to bring the best out of the car with his knowledge and experience.
Faraday Future which is a Chinese-owned U.S based company is all set to launch its first all-electric super car in year 2018. Due to this project they are trying to hire the best team of experts to complete the project within time limit. This hiring announcement came right after they signed a deal with Formula E’s Dragon Racing team.
Savagian also announced his own recruitment as the Vice President of engineering in his personal tweet. He added that he will be leading the engineers, looking at the operations of powertrains, voltage and batteries in electric cars. Savagian has an experience of 14 plus years of working in GM’s electric division.
We are not sure if he will be working directly with Dragon Racing or not. However both companies have shared the sentiment that information sharing will allow them to work in a better way.
Faraday Future also confirmed recently that they are going to make significant changes on track which will help with the electric terrain of super car. Savagian’s team will be responsible in looking after the electric features of this supercar too.

Faraday Future also confirmed that once they build this supercar, they will introduce it in the market too. They are planning to reveal this car in U.S market in this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, USA.
