Subaru is all set to work on an all-electric crossover.

Every other company is looking to build semi electric and all electric vehicles these days. The reason behind this struggle is that EVs and hybrids are more efficient, low cost to use and do have better environmental print as well.

It looks like Subaru is aiming to be a part of this race in order to beat the other rivals too. The company hasn’t launched any EV yet nor was it planning to do so.

The company though sells the Crosstrek Hybrid in USA and Impreze Sport Hybrid in Japan. We also think that this is the time Subaru has finally come up with its own EV. It will mean that the company is open to change and will want to work towards better opportunities.

According to the report submitted by automaker, the company is all set to introduce an all-electric AWD CUV in USA. This will be a mid-sized crossover that will be the first one to be introduced by Subaru, according to Automotive News.

The company hasn’t shared any details about its cells. Batteries, transmission or any other details. According to Dominick Infante of Subaru they haven’t finalized the specification of this cross over. He also says that it was pretty early to talk about the details of this car.

The major reason behind company going behind an all-electric vehicle is due to the new strict emission rules. After the huge scandal faced by VW, most of the companies are doing their best to introduce zero-emission cars.

The EVs are the only solution if you need to have a zero-emission car. Subaru has taken a slow approach while working with hybrids at first and its doing the same with EVs. However we are expecting a concept car soon by company.
