She took her time on stage to clarify that she was not going to be performing at the Super Bowl next year. She stipulated her reason that Super Bowl show was not about music.
It was about dancing and performing and she was not someone who danced. She confessed that her decision had come after she had been made an offer.
The NFL and the official sponsor, Pepsi were not taking any shade however. They probably did not want to come across as the party who got refused.
That is why they released a joint official statement in which they declared that they had never made an official offer to Adele to perform at the Super Bowl, reported DailyMail.
They added that Adele was perhaps the biggest star in the world right now. They mentioned that she is currently performing at a tour which was completely sold out for all its dates.
Her concerts were becoming the favorite place for spotting some favorite stars including Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Lopez, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher. So there was no doubt in their minds that Adele had a lot of attraction for the public. They just had not asked her to perform, they clarified.
Talking further about what to expect from the show, they said that they were trying their best to put up the best show with the hottest stars on the stage for the next Super Bowl.
