  • VW recalls 460,000 again Due to Emission Issue

Volkswagen recalls 460,000 cars with 1.2 TDI engines, designated EA189. The recalled cars include 18,018 UK-based Volkswagen Polos as well as the Skoda Fabia and Seat Ibiza.

Volkswagen has recalled a huge number of vehicles in order to fix the emission scandal that was found few months back. It has to do with the software installed in various models which did fraud.

The company is still recalling all the vehicles that are effected due to the problem. This week Volkswagen recalled a total of 460,000 vehicles that have a 1.2 TDI engine installed in them.

According to the company, this recall is also following the emission recalls that are made worldwide. This recall was supervised by Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority which is KBA.

The cars that have been recalled have affected 1.2 liter diesel engines, mainly EA189 which is found in small VW cars and other smaller vehicles. The recall includes 18,018 British Volkswagen Polo cars, according to AutoCar.

Along with these Seat Ibiza and Skoda Fabia also have been recalled as they also use the same engine. The owners of the affected cars will be contacted by VW through an official letter. After that they will be guided to a dealer which will update the software that is being used in the cars.

This is the latest engine recall that has been made by Volkswagen. Recently a recall for EA189 2.0 liter engines was made which included Gold Blue motion and Passat along with Passat CC.

After the latest recall of 2.o liter engine, another recall will be made by the company which is also advised by KBA. This will be a recall of 1.6 TDI, EA189 engines.

KBA has approved and suggested that attest recall’s fix won’t affect the fuel consumption of cars. Thus the customers will be able to enjoy the cars being driven in the same way they were doing earlier.
