First permanently banned Pokemon Go trainers get harsh response to ban appeal.

Niantic allows permanent banned Pokemon Go trainers to appeal the ban via a support form. As reported, the Pokemon Go maker has begun to email banned users a confirmation that their account is banned because of cheating. Niantic defines the use of any other third-party or app, including but not limited to scripts/apps, applications used ot falsify your location, emulators, modified or unofficial software, and/or accessing Pokemon Go clients or backends in an unauthorized manner as cheating.

Now a banned user received a response from Niantic to his ban appeal. The wording is quite harsh. The brief email says: "After reviewing your current situation, it has been decided to deny you punishment appeal. We have specific rules in which Pokemon Go players need to abide by, and unfortunately you have decided to break the rules. With that your account is terminated."

The ban appeal response also includes again the definition what is considered cheating in Pokemon Go. The use of the word "punishment" seems a bit over the top. The short response is very direct and does not mince words: "You have decided to break the rules. What that your account is terminated." There is no wiggle room. The account is gone.

The ban appeal response email got posted on reddit by profnaticgo. The user did not provide context yet on what got him banned and how long ago he appealed the ban.

Niantic broke its more than a week long silence with an update on the banning efforts. The statement posted on the Niantic site is meant to make sure that Pokemon Go players know that the emails they receive from Niantic are legit.

"After reviewing many reports of in-game cheating, we have started taking action against players taking unfair advantage of and abusing Pokémon GO. Moving forward, we will continue to terminate accounts that show clear signs of cheating. Our main priority with Pokémon GO is to provide a fair, fun, and legitimate game experience for all players. If our system has determined that you cheated, then you will receive an email stating that your account has been terminated."

You can try to appeal a ban by filling out this support ticket. As the first appeal response shows there is no point in appealing if you have cheated using 3rd party tools like bots and location spoofing. Even using of Pokemon Go maps and IV statistic tools could get you banned.
