James Corden has definitely covered some headlines with some of his most phenomenal and trend setting segments and Carpool Karaoke has become a fan favorite.
James has not only invited some of the best musical artists and celebrities in vogue but he has also done the segment with the First Lady Michelle Obama. He can sing, there’s no doubt about that. He has covered some of Prince’s songs as well on the segment.
That might have been why that one of his guest’s Coldplay’s Chris Martin asked James to come and join the band during the Rose Bowl concert.
According to James, he was invited by James but he had no idea how big the thing was going to be. Before inviting him out on stage, Chris joked that there had been a talented artist who did not join their band because he wanted to do his own thing.
He said that as they wanted to honor Prince, he was going to call the missing band member and he invited James Corden on stage. James looked happy and jubilant. They covered Prince’s Nothing Compared 2 U.
Once the performance was done, much to James’ surprise, Chris started to sing “Happy Birthday” and the whole audience joined in. The cherry on the top was that at the end of the song, they brought out a cake with 38 candles.
James was almost teary and turned around to wipe his eyes off. James was happy and it was truly a remarkable way to be wished.
