  • A new 400-hp, 2900-Pound Coupe might arrive in 2019.

A new concept car is going to be revealed in 2017 Tokyo Motor Show by Mazda.

Mazda is about to launch a new concept in the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.  We are currently hearing loads of rumors that are indicating arrival of a powerful RX-8 successor with RX-Vision. The long rotary powered coupe introduced earlier was really pretty but we won’t be seeing it any sooner in the market.

A Japanese website Holiday Auto (via AutoBlog) has claimed that Mazda is all set to bring about a new RX. According to the information on the website which is all written in Japanese and you will have to translate it, states that this new RX-9 is being introduced in 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.

The Japanese site is claiming this rumored car to be nothing but an excellent vehicle one for the drivers. According the report on the website, this car will be getting a 1.6 liter, two-rotor Wankel with a single turbo charger. It will offer an output of 400bhp.

The website is also saying that RX-9 is supposed to have a new bike like acceleration. The weight of the car is almost 1,300 kilograms but due to a rear transaxle the weight will be split equally. This will make the car superfast and pretty agile too. Though it will be available in a large sum of money.

It is estimated that its price will start from eight million yen which is about $70,641. If Mazda decides to follow like that of Nissan GT-R’s pricing then we might see a six figure RX-9 by the year 2025.

The new Mazda RX-Vision’s concept will be released or not. It is just a matter of time when this rumor will be confirmed or discarded. Till then we are anxiously waiting for an official news from Mazda.
