A new video shows Rimac Automobili founder Mate Rimac explain and drive the Rimac Concept_One electric hyper car.
Tesla can consider itself lucky that 28-year-old Mate Rimac is not making electric hypercars to make money. Rimac does not really invest in marketing. The Rimac Concept One hypercar was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, but the most attention the incredible electric car got when it beat the LaFerrari in a Youtuber's video.

Rimac could just go now and challenge any Hypercar with its 2.6 seconds acceleration (0-60mph) and high tech 4-wheel drive drain that consists of four motors amounting to over 1,000hp. Tesla's new P100D does now the 0 to 60 in 2.5s. The real test of this would be a drag race between a Rimac Concept_One and the new Tesla Model P100D. Telsa can't really lose, as the P100D costs about a 10th what the Rimac Concept_One sells for.
The Rimac Concept_One is a hypercar for geeks. Mate Rimac shows off how the entire car can be customized via its giant touchscreen. French car enthusiast Alexs Molik took a ride in a Concept_One with Mate Rimac. The video shows the impressive software, but also shows the incredible acceleration and driving power of the Rimac Concept One.
I can't wrap my head around how a 28-year-old guy built this unbelievable hypercar in Croatia. It's a miracle. It is also time to open up the Nurburg Ring again for car makers to set lap records. Koenigsegg is waiting and we all want to see what time a Tesla Model S P100D does and of course how the Rimac Concept_One demolishes all other's lap times.
The Rimac Concept One is real and the first customer to delivery of this amazing hypercar. All hypercars going forward will have to be all electric, to be able to stay competitive.
