There is no doubt that Apple has lived up to its goal of establishing a significant market share in the hardware market but increasing competition and unpredictable market situations have somewhat slowed down business. Under these circumstances Tim Cooks and others at Apple are looking at these software apps as means of new sources of revenue for the company.
Apple’s decision to explore these particular apps comes from the fact that users spend majority of the time interacting with these social media-based services. Apple has taken this level of interaction as an encouraging sign and has decided to explore this market segment to stay relevant with the younger lot while increasing its revenue stream.
According to the people close to Apple, “The app is being developed in the same Apple department that developed Final Cut Pro and iMovie software Apple.” The app will allow you to make short videos quickly with the additional help of filters and scribbles.
You will then be able to share these videos on your existing social media such as Facebook or Twitter. There is a distinct possibility that the app might never get released if it fails to meet Apple’s timetable and deadlines.
