A group of researchers at SETI are probing deeper into an enigmatic signal from a distant star. There is speculation that it may be a message from an alien species.
A pretty powerful signal has been spotted by the scientists at SETI. It is coming from a star that is 94 light years away from the earth.

This star resembles our earth which has fanned the flames of speculation concerning whether this is a message from an alien species. The researchers are currently busy examining what this message means.
A year ago, scientists employed a radio telescope in Russia to detect a signal of the SETI sort. SETI is the acronym for Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence.
This signal seemed to emanate from HD 164595. The study regarding this signal from so far away has yet to be published in a journal. The matter will be discussed in September at the 67th International Astronautical Congress. This will be held in Mexico.
The star system from which this message comes our way is said to have a planet in its vicinity. This planet is like Neptune in its dimensions and is too near the star too harbor any life forms.
Yet there is always the possibility of other worlds being present in the region. It should be obvious that it is not that aliens are definitely beaming these signals our way.
Yet this scenario is being entertained by SETI at the moment. It is one of the many explanations for the pulsating blips on the radar screens of the radio telescopes.
he researchers who made the discovery are well-known experts in their respective fields, according to Space.com. Besides this, the signal is so clear that it could not just be a chaotic series of noises. If there are aliens behind this signal, then they are far more advanced than us human beings.
When the signal’s origins were probed into, it was discovered that the aliens would have had to generate a 100 billion billion watts of energy and they sent it rippling through space.
Also for the signal to have reached the earth it would have taken a lot of energy (one trillion watts to be exact). These astronomical numbers show that something deeper and more interesting is going on here than meets the eye.

This radiation is way more than that thrown our way by the sun alone. It must have a mysterious source that remains undetected. Whether it is indeed extraterrestrial interference remains a moot point.
