Two gold medalists from the Olympics will be competing for the Mirror Ball Trophy on Dancing With the Stars this season, and they are on complete opposite ends of the public's spectrum. The first is Ryan Lochte, who publicly embarrassed the United States with his lies and half-truths in Rio. The other is Laurie Hernandez, the 16-year-old gymnast who captured hearts with her spunky attitude, precise exercises, and fierce friendship.

The pair were announced on Good Morning America this morning along with their professional dance partners. Val Chmerkovskiy, who was partnered with “Good Morning America” meteorologist Ginger Zee last season, will dance with Hernandez, while fan favorite Cheryl Burke will return to partner with Lochte.
"I’m definitely really excited. This is completely new for me," said Lochte, 32. "I think it’s time for me to hang up the Speedo and put on my dancing shoes and get in that ballroom. I’m going to treat this kind of like going into the Olympics," he added. "You train for so long and you have that one shot to put it all out there, and I think that’s what I’m going to do."
The rest of the cast includes some pretty famous faces like talk show host Amber Rose and rapper Vanilla Ice and Rick Perry, a former Republican governor.
The rest of the cast comes from a varied background of music, TV, and sports, including: “Brady Bunch” star Maureen McCormick, actress Marilu Henner, singer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, “Little Women LA” star Terra Jolé, actor Jake T. Some of the other fan favorite pros will continue this season as well, including Derek Hough and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the brother of Val Chmerkovskiy. Another favorite, Julianne Hough, will return as a judge.
