A bunch of novel heavenly bodies may have been discovered in the solar system that the earth belongs to.
Astronomers in the United States have discovered previously unknown objects in the solar system. This is the same solar system in which the earth is “the third rock from the sun”.

Among the discoveries is an icy world that is taken so far in its orbit away from the sun that it is most probably affected by the gravitational field of other stars. Among the chief impetus of this effort by astronomers was the quest to find a ninth planet. This has been a hypothetical construct uptil now.
The presence of this ninth planet has only been guessed in an indirect manner. The study regarding all these efforts will get published in The Astronomical Journal.
The co-authors of the study have submitted their painstaking research to the Minor Planet Center which is responsible for making a collection of all such heavenly bodies.
Among its repertoire also come comets and asteroids. The search took place at various observatories around the world. The Blanco telescope in Chile and the Subaru telescope in Hawaii were employed for this procedure.
A novel object that has so far been detected is the 2014 FE72, according to BBC. This is the very first distant Oort cloud object found with an orbital radius that lies way beyond the planet Neptune.
Its orbit takes it 3000 times farther away than the earth is from the sun. The Oort Cloud is a hotch potch of paraphernalia that occupy the farthest expanses of the solar system.
The two researchers have analyzed how planetoids fit into more comprehensive theories regarding a ninth planet that lies on the outskirts of the solar system.
The presence of this ninth planet is something that has been deduced from the peculiar behavior of many of the objects in its vicinity towards the edges of the solar system.
A new celestial object known as 2013 FT28 shares many traits of this ninth planet. Yet more research and skygazing needs to be done before any final conclusion can be reached by the scientists and astronomers.
If the ninth planet does have an existence, it will travel in a very far and wide arc as well as be many times the mass of the earth. The location of this planet remains an enigma.
Yet time is the magician which may change all the mystique and mystery surrounding the presence of this planet and reveal its existence to us one fine day in the future.
