Bosch Water Injection System will be used in most of the BMW and other cars in future.

These days where the automakers are looking to develop more powerful and efficient cars, they are also looking forward to decrease the carbon print of these cars.

It is the reason that many companies have turned their focus on developing zero emission technology. Along with that they are also focusing on developing the technology in which diesel and petrol engines would be able to release as less CO2 as they can.

Recently after Volkswagen’s diesel emission scandal, other companies have made sure that they introduce the technology that lower down emission.

The Bosch Water Injection System which was introduced by BMW earlier is able to reduce the CO2 emission by 4 percent while it also boosts the efficiency of car by 13 percent.

The Bosch Water Injection System was first introduced in BMW M4 GTS, which will be introduced in 2019 in new car models. Bosch is now offering this technology in market so other companies can cater this technology in its cars too.

This system works with the help of distilled water injection which sprays a vapor in engine’s intake. This is done before the combustion of fuel thus reducing the engine temperature. This results in reduced knocking and fuel saving.

The overall result of this activity is increased activity of engine, increased efficiency and fuel saving as well. It is also noted that ignition time gets faster with this methodology too.

The project manager at Bosch said that this Bosch Water Injection System can be utilized in any kind of car. It can be used in a small car and a supercar as well. We can expect greater efficiency which is the reason BMW is off to use it.
