In order to maintain the mounting excitement and enthusiasm that people have towards the upcoming launch of the iPhone at Apple’s media event scheduled to take place on September 7th, KGI Securities has published another report detailing all we know and expect from the new iPhone.

The report also offers us with some new information regarding the type of processor that Apple has chosen for its new lineup as well as more in depth details on the camera capabilities of the new phone. The report has relayed that Apple has chosen to go for its own A10 processor along with the M10 motion coprocessor.
The processor according to reports is being manufactured by TSMC who is using a new InFO process. The new chip with come with a definite performance upgrade as it has been tuned up to 2.4GHz and is going to accompany 2GB of RAM in the 4.7 inch iPhone 7 and 3GB RAM in the 5.5 inch iPhone 7 Plus. Other than this the report has claimed that Apple might introduce two new colors namely “dark black” and a glossy “piano black” instead of the Space grey color option.
This means that we might be getting 5 color options for the new iPhone lineup. The True Tone technology that is coming with the new iPhones hasn’t been mentioned a lot before. Already available with the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, the technology enhances your phone display as it is capable of rendering wide-color imagery.
We are most likely to get improved sensors for Apple’s 3D Touch technology as well. In terms of camera updates it’s the iPhone 7 Plus which has more to offer. According to the report its dual lens will offer optical zoom and ‘light field camera applications. One of the lens will wide-angle while the other will be a telephoto lens and both will be 12 MP.
Both the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will have improved flash as 4 LEDs are being placed, 2 warm and 2 cool. In terms of old rumors the report by KGI has confirmed that there will be lightening enabled EarPods as well as a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter as Apple has decided to ditch the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Both the phones will has redesigned antenna bands on the back.
The phones will come with a new grill from the outside which will support new sensors to enhance the 3D Touch experience. Sound will be improved with the new amplifier Apple is going to add internally. The phone according to Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI should be waterproof to an IPX7 rating. This is the same rating that the Apple watch has and will enable the iPhone to survive for 30 minutes under 1 meter of water.
According to this the Phone will come with better proximity sensor which will enable it to detect hand gestures and a new Touch ID home button with haptic feedback. In terms of storage Apple has eliminated the 16 GB option, instead offering you with 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB of storage to choose from. The report also mentions that due to Apple strict quality control criteria’s there has been a lower production of the iPhone 7.
